A °verbal °marker is an imperative marker if it signals that the °clause is a °directive sentence.
Imperative is commonly treated as a value of the category/feature "mood", which cannot be easily be defined independently. There are also many situations where "imperative" has been restricted to 2nd person forms, with other labels ("hortative" and "jussive") used for 1st and 3rd person forms. Here the term "imperative" is used in the broad sense, including non-2nd person forms.
