Definition

A classificational clause is a °clause with a °topic-comment structure which has a °definite subject argument and an °indefinite nominal as the °predicate.

Comments

The definition is adapted from Haspelmath (2025: 17). The term "class inclusion" is sometimes used in the literature, but this is not a well-known term either.
