An ascriptive clause (a cover term) is a °classificational or an °attributional clause.
The definition is from Haspelmath (2025: 17). "Ascriptive" is used in a somewhat different sense by Hengeveld (1992) and by Huddleston & Pullum (2002: §5.5.1). Creissels et al. (2026: §4.1) use the term "inclusion predication” to cover both of these types.
